Fixing “This Domain Points to an IP Address” Error | Quick DNS Troubleshooting

Table of Contents

Hello everyone, how are you? Today, I’m going to show you how to fix the error: ‘Error: (xid cn63rt) This domain points to an IP address that does not use the DNS servers associated with this server. Transfer the domain to this server’s nameservers at the domain’s registrar or update your system to recognize the current DNS servers. To do this, use WHM’s Configure Remote Service IPs interface.’

When you try to add any kind of domain to your cPanel, you may encounter the error ‘This Domain Points to an IP Address.’ It’s a simple fix, so let me show you how to fix it.

Step 1: Go to your WHM. Then log in to your WHM.

Step 2: Please scroll down and check “Tools”. Then you can find “Tweak Settings”. Go to “Tweak Settings”.

Step 3: Then you can find the “Domain” section. Click on the domain section.

Step 4: Scroll down and you can find “Allow Remote Domains”. It’s set to off by default, so just turn on this setting and save it.

Step 5: So finally, my WHM setup is done. Then go to your cPanel and try adding the domain again. Check if it’s working properly.
